Recycling Computers & Electronics

Everyone always feels badly about throwing computers in the trash. Unfortunately, it is surprisingly difficult to donate PCs, because the recipients want only PCs that are fairly new and fast. That way, they can do computer repair and resell the product.

Recycling a PC generally costs money, which is unpleasant. It seems like you shouldn't be punished for trying to do the right thing.

Fortunately, there are an increasing number of stores and companies that will accept old computers, monitors, and other so-called "e-waste."

Here is a link to the City of Denver Government website, listing local companies accepting e-waste.

And here is a link to the same website, where they list recycling drives, held a few times each year, where companies, like Dell, sponsor large-scale events where you can bring electronics to be recycled, either for free, or at a very low cost.
